Physiotherapy: I am a Dorn-therapist, chiropractor, massage therapist, spine training instructor, Kinesio-tape therapist, and the owner of the SpineLine Studio. My first encounter with alternative medicine dates back to 2004, after I finished my university studies, and it was brought about by my own struggles with neck pain. Western medicine has brought only minimal relief and even that was a very slow process, so I decided to go to a chiropractor.
Following this, I have studied the secrets of alternative medicine including massage therapy, then different forms of joint mobilisation techniques, its diagnostics and therapeutic methods, Dorn-therapy, spine exercises, instructing, and temporomandibular joint therapy. I have gained complex knowledge in anatomy, complementing the expertise gained in Hungary with specialized literature available only abroad.
I wanted and want to know the cause of every ailment, since that’s the only way to cure safely and effectively! The desire to learn and to help are the most important in my profession. These are the core values that we share with my colleagues, and we carry out our work reflects these values. We believe that we can do something against pain!
In the last few years of our activity, we have observed that problems that develop in the digestive system influence the appearance of several other disorders in the body, and thus, it’s important to adopt a holistic approach in treating the body.
An important aspect of our treatment is that we collaborate with internists, psychologists, and homeopaths in developing a complex therapeutic system that includes treatment and education. Moreover, through our articles we strive to offer complete professional guidance in a way that is unique in Hungary.
Silent and Acid Reflux Disease (GERD, NERD)
Through a gentle manual technique developed together with my colleagues, the normal closing of the pit of the stomach can be achieved, and the reflux disease can disappear permanently be it the silent or acid reflux type of the illness.
What causes reflux (heartburn)?
The pit of the stomach is located where the oesophagus goes through the diaphragm. The two cannot be separated, they influence one another. In most cases heartburn or reflux is caused by the sluggishness of the diaphragm, which expands slightly and the stomach moves upwards, which makes it difficult for the stomach pit to close, thus, acid or its fumes end up in the oesophagus, causing a burning sensation in the throat, coughing, “croaking”, stomach burn and chest pain.
Symptoms are varied and not everyone experiences all symptoms. Changes in the diaphragm and the raising of the stomach is small, undetectable to the patient, however, it significantly influences the proper operation of the stomach pit.
Reflux disease can also be caused simply by improper posture that increases abdominal pressure or even bloating caused by certain foods. Normally, the stomach retracts, but not in every case and many patients suffer because of this. In traditional medicine, anti-acid medications, proton-pump inhibitors and surgery are the offered “solutions” in the treatment of reflux disease.
Medicine is prescribed to decrease the amount of acid in the stomach, thus preventing it from ending up in the oesophagus. However, this only treats the symptoms, because if the stomach would work normally, the amount of acid in the stomach wouldn’t matter, since it couldn’t escape the stomach anyway!
